Ribera Del Jucar – Sueno Tempranillo 750ml

Tasting Note: A joint venture with one of their American importers, Majuelos de España, the 2013 Sueño (dream) is pure Tempranillo aged for 10 months in a mixture of 225- and 500-liter oak barrels. Inky dark and with a serious nose, this is a great example of a powerful, full-bodied Tempranillo from this zone of La Mancha. It has well-integrated oak, ripe black fruit and a palate with plenty of tannins that will secure a long development in bottle. It’s still young and a bit harsh, but could be enjoyed with hearty food. Good value. Drink: 2015-2019. Score – 90. (Luis Gutierrez, robertparker.com, Feb. 2015)
