Tasting Note: Winemaker Jen Beloz honed her craft working for 10 years with the Zinfandel specialist Joel Peterson of Ravenswood. Her experience shines in this Zinfandel blend, itself a reflection of the field blends of the Italian immigrants who originally settled Napa. Impressive aromas of blueberry, spice box and smoke. Ripe and smooth with a massively robust mouthfeel, it’s easy to understand why the innovative Prisoner has spawned so many imitators. A great match for flank steak with rosemary and garlic.
