Increased cleaning and frequent disinfecting on all surfaces and high touch surfaces – counter tops, door handles, shopping baskets, pinpads, ETC. All staff are using disposable gloves when handling cash and stock.
Consistent with government guidelines we are limiting the number of customers in our stores and enforcing social distancing.
Customers have access to hand sanitizer as they enter the store.
We have installed plexiglass shields at our checkout stations and staff have been provided with PPE – gloves and masks. Staff are strictly following the mask mandate.
At checkout, to minimize the handling of the pinpad, customers are encouraged to use the tap function.
We have posted signage in store to remind and encourage all customers not to touch products that they are not buying and to keep a safe distance of at least 6 feet from others while in the store or lineups outside.
STAFF MEMBER HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
We are reinforcing with staff members vigilant hand washing before, throughout and after their shifts. Staff have been provided with and encouraged to wear personal protective equipment.
Managers are required to send home any staff showing signs of flu-like symptoms and to report any such incidences to Head Office. Any staff member who exhibits cold/flu/covid symptoms is required to self-isolate for a minimum of 10 days. Staff are instructed to phone 811 to speak with a medical professional to determine whether they should be tested. Any staff who test positive or must quarantine due to exposure to confirmed Covid-19 case must quarantine and follow next step directives from their doctor and/or Public Health.
