Regional Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – Wolf Blass Gold Label 750ml

Tasting Note: Raspberry ripple ice cream! Choc sundaes, cherry on chocolate, hint of mint and chamomile. Sweet-fruited perfume, but some nice herbal notes too. More herbal and leafy to taste but black fruit flows lusciously – chewy tannins tinged with greenery give good structure and firmness, dragging flavours long, touch of spiky acidity spoils the party a little. Medium-bodied, sleek, with rustic charm of splintery oak and earthiness throughout. Good gear. Drink: 2015-2020. Score – 89. (Mike Bennie, winefront.com.au, Feb. 19, 2015)
